Connecting over Christmas Carols
On a warm, windy afternoon, staff and students from Connected Schools added to the Christmas cheer for Mawson Lakes Community Carols on Sunday 4 December. Amongst the students, Michael Richardson, now in Year 11, experienced the whole journey – from Salisbury Lutheran Kindergarten, Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School and Endeavour College. It was the first time the new banners were flown to promote Connected Schools. The collective was a silver sponsor to the Carols, where over 2000 people enjoyed the night, listening to the Endeavour College Big Band, Sax Ensemble, Mawson Lakes Community Church musicians followed by the Carols program led by the SA Police Band.
Many people came up and had a chat with staff and students of Connected Schools as they bought festive goodies from a bake stall, where all proceeds will go to local orphanages in Vietnam. A group of staff and students from Endeavour College are going on a Study Tour of Vietnam in April, where they will visit a few historic and cultural sites, in addition to reconnecting with the orphanages that Endeavour supports.
